The Urban Divers Estuary Conservancy

Mission: A grassroots not for profit environmental and cultural organization committed to active participation in the restoration, conservation, protection of our rivers , oceans and marine wildlife, as well as public education; with a focus on the urban estuary and the community that lives, learns, works and play in and along the shores of its watershed. The Urban Divers Estuary Conservancy operates two centers along NY Harbor. An up stream center The Harlem River/Hudson River North Marine Station and Ecology Center... a multicultural and international center for environmental education, community stewardship, culture and maritime and a downstream center Gowanus/Red Hook South Brooklyn Harbor Marine Field Station. The Urban Divers provides conservation support, environmental education through recreation programs, host an annual eco-cruise series "Get on the Water NYC- Urban Rivers Tours", The Annual Submerge: Art & Environment Festival, and its original multimedia presentation with audience participation "Live! Beneath the Estuary".
