Urban Canopy Enhancements Through Interactive Mapping
Report published by the USDA Forest Service, Northeastern Research Station. As a partner in the Neighborhood Tree Survey Project the Northeastern Research Station of the US Forest Service had the following objectives:
1. Develop high-resolution cover maps of the three neighborhoods
2. Analyze street tree data collected in the neighborhoods (e.g., carbon storage, air pollution removal, tree values)
3. Provide tree analysis data in format that can be linked into OASIS GIS maps
4. Develop maps and map layers that can be used to select best locations to plant trees and calculate tree benefits/values
