Citizen Stewardship Surveys

Below are examples of surveys designed to get a sense of stewardship activity from a variety of different perspectives. Each survey has its own particular focus but the type of information collected is similar nonetheless. It is our goal to combine the information collected from these surveys and more to get a more complete picture of stewardship activity in the New York City Metro region.

Urban Ecology Coolaborative - the UEC survey is a more general, transfer-able survey designed to satisfy the needs of a variety of stewardship analysis approaches.

Partnerships for Parks - 2002 survey focuses on organizations involved with New York City parks in the calendar year 2002. If your organization is involved in organizing clean ups, events or other activities in NYC Parks and has not completed a survey, Partnerships is collecting survey data through June 2003. Please see attached survey and submit to Partnerships by June 30, 2003.

Green Thumb - 2003 survey focuses on Community Gardens throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City.

Harbor Estuary Program - 2003 survey focuses on, but is not limited to, waterfront and hydrologic resources such as streams and wetlants throughout the New York City Metro Region - including New Jersey.
