Interactive Map GuidesInteractive Map Guides help groups and individuals get the most out of the OASIS Website. The template for the guides was created by Open Road and co-written by members from the OASIS education committee. The co-authors represent agencies, organizations, and individuals who share the goal of helping people to find information easily on OASIS. Please check out the guides we've completed and help us to create more. Each guide has been field tested with children, teenagers and adults at all levels of computer ability. Contact Paula Hewitt (openroadny@aol.com) with Open Road if you have questions or suggestions for more guides to OASIS NYC for all ages. We recommend that you watch the OASIS Tutorial before using the Guides. (Requires flash, click here to download) Guides for OASIS(requires Adobe Acrobat, click here to download free reader)
OASIS Guide TemplatePlease help us to create new guides for OASIS using the template
below. Guides can lead a person through OASIS so they find the
information and maps you want them to find. Please write your
guide so people aged 10 and up can read and follow it. Then send
your draft guide to Open Road for field testing, review, and
editing. You and your organization will be listed as the primary
authors of your guide.
OASIS Education SubcommitteePlease join the OASIS Education Subcommittee. We meet one hour before each OASIS steering committee meeting and at other times for working sessions. Please email us if you'd like to receive meeting announcements. Education Subcommittee goals and activities:
Guides for earlier versions of OASISThe guides below were designed for an earlier version of OASIS but may give you some ideas about the types of information you can get from using the OASIS website. return to top |
